Story Kanji Mishima, played by Reo Sano, is a reporter for Weekly Times, primarily covering gossip. He feels an emptiness and unease in days spent chasing nothing but celebrity scandals, with not a trace of the spirit of journalism he once aspired to. One day, his editor-in-chief Asuka Nagasawa, played by MEGUMI, directs him to Amagasaki to collect someone. She sends him off as an opportunity to fulfil his old wish to see a world he could never see while living an ordinary life. The man waiting for him, Keijiro Kihara, played by Kenta Kiritani, is plainly no ordinary civilian. Formerly an assistant to the underboss of the second-generation Nishinomiya-kai, he now knows every area of the underworld, politics and entertainment. Even among information brokers, his reputation as an informer has become something of an urban legend.
