Iroduku: The World in Colors New Package Blu-ray Box
TV 色づく世界の明日から Blu-ray BOX 新装版
Long ago, a girl cast a spell on herself: I must never be happy. Director Toshiya Shinohara, who created Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea, weaves a fairy tale in a world of changing colours. A newly packaged Blu-ray box brings together all thirteen episodes, the soundtrack and character-song CDs.
The story begins several decades in the future, in a slightly mysterious world where small traces of magic remain in everyday life. Seventeen-year-old Hitomi Tsukishiro is a descendant of a family of witches. Having lost her sense of colour as a child, she has become a girl with little emotional expression.
Concerned about Hitomi's future, her grandmother Kohaku Tsukishiro, a great witch, uses magic to send her back to 2018. Suddenly appearing in an unfamiliar place, the bewildered Hitomi sees brilliant colours burst into her field of vision.
The box contains all thirteen episodes, running approximately 312 minutes, on three Blu-rays, together with three CDs. A three-sided box features newly drawn artwork by original character designer Fly, and a special disc case is included. The enclosed booklet is re-edited from the booklets supplied with the three 2019 Blu-ray boxes.
The CDs contain the soundtrack and two character songs: Sasayaka na Hikari, sung by Hitomi Tsukishiro, voiced by Kaori Ishihara; and Saiko no Maho, sung by Kohaku Tsukishiro, voiced by Kaede Hondo. Both songs are written, composed and arranged by yanaginagi.
Disc 1 includes the special programme Kaori Ishihara's Journey Through Colourful Nagasaki, originally broadcast on AT-X on November 11, 2018. Disc 2 includes the textless ending, and disc 3 includes the textless opening and promotional videos. Audio commentaries accompany episode 4 with Kaori Ishihara, Kaede Hondo, Nao Toyama and Kana Ichinose; episode 5 with Shoya Chiba, Seiji Maeda and Ayumu Murase; and episode 13 with Kaori Ishihara, director Toshiya Shinohara and producer Takayuki Nagatani.
The cast features Kaori Ishihara as Hitomi Tsukishiro, Kaede Hondo as Kohaku Tsukishiro, Shoya Chiba as Yuito Aoi, Nao Toyama as Kurumi Kawai, Kana Ichinose as Asagi Kazeno, Seiji Maeda as Sho Yamabuki and Ayumu Murase as Chigusa Fukasawa.
The discs, including their video extras, contain the same programme as the earlier Iroduku: The World in Colors Blu-ray Boxes 1, 2 and 3, catalogue numbers BIXA-9041, BIXA-9042 and BIXA-9043. Product specifications and extras may change.
