Joker Game III Stage Blu-ray

Joker Game III brings D Agency back to the stage seven years after the second production. Based on the television anime adapted by Production I.G from Koji Yanagi's espionage novels, this third installment reunites writer and director Daisuke Nishida with the series and introduces new actors as its agents. The production combines the original "Joker Game" story, previously staged in 2017, with the stage series' first completely original episode.

In autumn 1937, as the threat of world war grows, a secret spy-training organization is established within the Imperial Japanese Army. Its recruits are young men with exceptional intellectual and physical abilities, selected to train under the formidable Lieutenant Colonel Yuki. Through punishing instruction, they master every skill needed to operate unseen. D Agency's principle that an agent must neither die nor kill puts it at odds with the Army's leadership: suicide and murder draw attention, making them the worst possible choices for a spy. Despite that opposition, its agents begin conducting covert operations around the world.

Reo Honda plays Kaminaga, Shinichi Hashimoto plays Tazaki, Hiroki Kajita plays Amari, Naotake Tsuchiya plays Hatano, Kohei Shiota plays Odagiri, Jun Noguchi plays Jitsui and Daiya Hayakawa plays Fukumoto. Jin Aoki appears as Lieutenant Sakuma, Takuo Yamagishi as John Gordon, Urashima as Colonel Muto, Kohei Hayashida as Minekichi Inumaru, Yusuke Yata as Miyoshi and Masashi Taniguchi as Lieutenant Colonel Yuki.

The production ran at Tokyo's Tennozu Galaxy Theatre from November 21 to 30, 2025. This two-disc Blu-ray release pairs the main performance with a separate bonus disc containing rehearsal and backstage making-of footage and guest-appearance highlights. A booklet is enclosed. The Japanese-language release has no subtitles.
