Kabutoborg VxV Charge 3 Times Blu-ray Entry No Option Box Limited Edition

Celebrating the fifteenth anniversary of the original broadcast! Dedicated to Borgers everywhere, the legendary chaotic anime finally charges into a box designed for uninterrupted viewing.

Artificial Insect Kabutoborg VxV, pronounced Victory by Victory, became an online sensation as soon as broadcasts began in October 2006 and remains a much-discussed legendary comedy anime. Is this really the first episode? What happened to the continuation? An apparent final-episode climax arrives right at the start, while scene after scene breaks connections with the episodes before and after it. Fans have even called its unconventional storytelling fifty-two seasons rather than fifty-two episodes.

Its peculiar characters, their outrageous and mysterious behavior, and its unexpected machines and finishing moves overwhelm viewers. Once you get hooked, it draws you into a deep Borg obsession from which there is no escape. This exuberant, chaotic anime returns in a compact box ideal for binge viewing: anytime is time for Kabutoborg. All fifty-two episodes are presented across three discs in high-bitrate SD at 480i, exceeding DVD picture quality, with continuous playback available.

Borg Battle is a contest of passionate Borg Battlers that captivates everyone from children to adults. It has grown beyond a hobby to reign as a worldwide sport. Ryusei Amanogawa and his best friends Katsuji and Ken practice Borg Battle day and night with the greatest passion and conviction in the universe. Facing friends in danger, powerful opponents and even the end of the world, can Ryusei claim the position of the world's greatest Borg Battler? And what is the surprising true identity of Commander Big Bang, the evil force plotting world domination behind Borg Battle?

The box contains episodes one through fifty-two, with credit-free opening footage and credit-free endings for episodes one and fifty-two. This limited production edition includes a three-sided box newly illustrated by character designer Yasuyuki Noda, red cases inspired by Tomcat Red Beetle, the deluxe Borg Battle Zukan battle-guide booklet, a sugoroku game-board poster and a set of two postcards.

The cast features Kyoko Chikiri as Ryusei Amanogawa, Kanako Mitsuhashi as Katsuji Matsuoka, Kei Watanabe as Ken Ryusho, Takeshi Maeda as Lloyd Ando and Takashi Matsuyama as Big Bang. To respect the originality of the work, the original masters are reproduced as they are. Bonus contents, product specifications and jacket artwork may change without notice.
