Singer-songwriter Kayoko Kusano makes her first full album under her real name after performing as Kayoko. Following her composition of LiSA's Gurenge, Life Is Like a Rolling Stone brings her own voice to a record built around the idea of pure J-pop.
Trusted collaborators include Tomoya Tabuchi of UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, Shota Horie of PENGUIN RESEARCH, Kishida, Takuto Akizuki of Kankaku Piero, Kei Miyaji of memento Mori, eba and koshi of cadode, and singer-songwriter Ai Higuchi.
The melodies carry a touch of familiar kayokyoku nostalgia, while Kusano's broad musical range gives the songs variety and depth. Her words emerge from an all-consuming creative effort, drawing something new from the past.
