Kei x Yaku: Dangerous Partners Blu-ray Box

Nobuyuki Suzuki stars alongside Atsuhiro Inukai. A public security investigator and a yakuza become forbidden partners. Bound by a contract, the two take on a dangerous suspense story. Their secret investigation into a case buried in darkness gradually leads to a vast conspiracy.

Three years ago, an unsolved disappearance investigation, known as the Joker Case, was abruptly closed. Ichiro Kunishita, an investigator with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Public Security Bureau, has continued calling for it to be reopened, but receives an entirely different assignment: discreetly investigate and monitor Shiro Hanabusa, the underboss of a designated organized crime group. Shiro is a mysterious figure who joined the gang three years ago and has already risen to underboss.

While approaching Shiro for his assignment, Ichiro learns a shocking truth and decides to enter a false lovers' contract with him. As the two pursue the case in secret, their investigation becomes connected to an incident that shakes the nation and to their own destinies.

Ichiro Kunishita, played by Nobuyuki Suzuki, works in the Public Security Bureau, learning surveillance techniques and other skills from senior investigator Rion Nakaba, played by Chiaki Kuriyama. Bureau chief Taguchi, played by Yoshimi Tokui, orders him to monitor Shiro Hanabusa, played by Atsuhiro Inukai, the underboss of the designated Minegami crime group.

After an unusually rapid rise to underboss, Shiro has developed relationships with powerful figures in politics, business and other fields, gaining considerable influence. Ichiro wonders why public security officers have to watch a yakuza, but Taguchi gives him no answer.

Following Shiro's movements, Ichiro finds Shiraishi, a severely injured man close to death. When Shiraishi regains consciousness, he tells Ichiro that an underground fight club operates at a members-only salon run by Shiro. Its participants are former fighters burdened with debt and men proud of their fighting ability. A winner receives a ten-million-yen prize. Shiraishi took part but lost to Sasaki, a former kickboxer who had been a world champion.

Ichiro infiltrates the salon posing as a fight-club participant. While investigating inside, he succeeds in contacting Shiro, who realizes that Ichiro is concealing his identity. Ichiro refuses to confess under questioning. Shiro then proposes a game: if Ichiro wins a match, he will be released without further questions; if he loses, Shiro will use any means necessary to make him talk. With this wager imposed unilaterally, Ichiro faces Sasaki, the man who beat Shiraishi. What will happen?
