Kiro Akiyama follows debut album From DROPOUT with Fizzy Pop Syndrome, released one year after his debut. His addictive melodies and rough-edged sense of language built an audience, with the first album entering the Oricon chart at number eleven.
The second album includes Searchlight from the Kei Tanaka drama Sensei wo Kesu Hoteishiki, Yume no Tsubute from Poupelle of Chimney Town and Identity, the opening theme for The Promised Neverland's second season. These tie-ins retain the songwriter's individual character.
Where the first album used direct lyrics to explore his beginnings, Akiyama wanted to pursue more musical possibilities on the follow-up. Rockin'on editor Yoichiro Yamasaki singled out his exceptional potential among young rock artists; here the musician's love of desktop music-making drives the next step in his songwriting.
