Let's Make a Mug Too — Blu-ray Box, Limited Edition

A record high of 40.9 degrees Celsius! Bring a new story to the pottery town of Tajimi through anime and ceramics! The setting is Tajimi, a town famous for Mino ware, in the Tono region where the renowned Sengoku-period feudal lord and tea master Furuta Oribe commissioned pottery. The original free comic Let's Make a Mug Too began publication in 2012 through local IT company Planet, as part of a project launched by Tajimi volunteers and businesses in 2010 to revitalise the town. The release announcement reported 33 volumes published as of December 2020. Born with the support of the local community, Let's Make a Mug Too finally became a television anime!

Story Is pottery dull? Himeno Toyokawa and her father, who has left his salaried job, move to Tajimi in Gifu Prefecture, the hometown of her mother, who died when Himeno was little. Now attending her mother's old school, Himeno accepts an invitation from classmate Mika Kukuri to visit somewhere together. Their destination is the pottery club! There, Himeno discovers for the first time that her mother was a legendary ceramic artist, and she finds herself drawn into the world of pottery. Mika Kukuri is the pottery club's cheerful mood-maker. The distinctive Naoko Naruse is always hanging around its clubroom. Club president Toko Aoki has a famous ceramic artist for a grandfather. Together with these colourful friends, Himeno begins a bright and enjoyable life making pottery. A relaxed, charming pottery story about high-school girls captivated by ceramics!

Anime and live-action programme Set in Tajimi in southern Gifu Prefecture, the series follows four high-school girls discovering the appeal of the traditional craft of Mino ware. The original announcement advertised broadcasts beginning April 2, 2021, on CBC Television and subsequently BS 11, TOKYO MX, MBS and AT-X. Each broadcast combined an animated first half with a live-action second half. In Let's Make a Mug Too: Yakumo's After School, the four principal voice actors—Minami Tanaka, Yu Serizawa, Yuki Wakai and Rina Honnizumi—step out of the anime to stylishly introduce and experience Tajimi, the Gifu town where the story is set.
