LILIUM New Testament A Musical for the Girls’ Purity Blu-ray

The latest production in playwright Kenichi Suemitsu's lifelong TRUMP series! Since its 2014 premiere, LILIUM: A Musical for the Girls' Purity has remained a legendary favorite among series fans. With a revised script of greater depth and new songs, this New Testament version opens the TRUMP series' fifteenth anniversary.

The series' first full-cast audition drew over two thousand applications. Cast members were selected strictly for acting ability, singing ability and chemistry with their roles, and portray a story of girls that can only be called cruel.

Deep in a forest where rain never stops stands a sanatorium known as the Clan. Vampire boys and girls in the cocoon stage—their equivalent of human adolescence—live there while recuperating. One girl, Sylvetica, disappears. Her friend Lily searches for her, but none of the others in the sanatorium remembers her. Is Sylvetica a phantom born of Lily's imagination? Troubled by doubt, Lily discovers that a girl named Snow remembers her. A boy calling himself False also approaches Lily. When the girls' secrets are revealed, the door to a cruel fate opens.

The main performance is joined by the short play The Double Blossom. A twenty-page booklet is included. The original first pressing announced three trading cards selected randomly from seventeen designs; these limited items are not guaranteed after supplies run out. Contents and running times may change.

The cast features Mirai Uchida as Lily, Ayano Hamaura as Snow, Mirai Omori as False, Ruki Saito as Marigold, Mika Shiratori as Shiran, Ayaka Kawamoto as Rindo, Ami Kitamikado as Sylvetica, Chinatsu Saito as Camellia, Hiromi Kato as Cherry, Mayumi as Cattleya, Ai Aizawa as Rose, Mika Okamoto as Nasturtium, Akari Kawasaki as Margaret, Sakurano Nakahara as Jasmine, Yuina Kuroki as Clematis, Yuki Yahiro as Mimosa and Urara Nose as Monstera. Kenichi Suemitsu writes and directs, with music by Shunsuke Wada.

The region-free Blu-ray contains approximately 134 minutes of the main performance and 29 minutes of bonus footage, totaling 163 minutes, in Japanese with no subtitles. The published specifications do not state the audio codec or channel count.
