Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table Blu-ray Box

The Round Table Council, symbol of the adventurers' unity, faces the threat of collapse...! The eagerly awaited new sequel returned in January 2021, six years after the previous series!

Log Horizon begins a new television anime series after six years. Created by popular author Mamare Touno, whose Maoyu: Archenemy and Hero was also a major hit, this much-loved fantasy returns after the successful television series broadcast from 2013 to 2015. A year has passed since the Catastrophe transported the adventurers to another world. Akiba enjoys a brief prosperity, but many sources of conflict continue to smoulder. Shiroe and his companions must confront the eventual crisis threatening to bring down the Round Table Council, the symbol of the adventurers' unity. The eagerly awaited continuation began on NHK Educational TV in January 2021.

A generous collection of extras meets fans' expectations. The specially illustrated anime box houses a substantial storyboard collection. Bonus footage includes a video-conference talk show characteristic of the remote era of 2021, featuring story supervisor Shoji Masuda, director Shinji Ishihira and leading cast members. The box offers many other materials for fans to enjoy.

Story One day, tens of thousands of players, known as adventurers, are suddenly trapped in the world of the popular online game Elder Tale. Confusion reigns in this other world, where monsters and magic truly exist, and the adventurers' town of Akiba has lost its order. Shiroe, a young man who finds it difficult to deal with others, is one of these adventurers. Resolving to act, he forms the Log Horizon guild with his trusted companions Naotsugu, Akatsuki and Nyanta. Using his natural gift for strategy, he calls on the adventurers to unite and establishes the Round Table Council, a self-governing organisation that restores peace and stability to the town. With the council at its centre, relations develop with the People of the Land, the original inhabitants of the game world. Lenessia, daughter of the leading noble house of Cowen, moves to Akiba, and diplomacy and trade between adventurers, nobles, merchants and ordinary citizens become increasingly active. But a year after the Catastrophe that sent the adventurers to this other world, numerous sources of trouble continue to simmer beneath Akiba's fleeting prosperity: attacks by a new type of monster called Genius, power struggles between eastern and western nobles, and disparities and conflicting ambitions among the adventurers. At last, the Round Table Council, the very symbol of the adventurers' unity, faces a decisive crisis...
