Love Live! TV Series

The first live-action drama in the Love Live! series brings the original School Idol Musical story to television. Based on the musical performed since 2022, the series began broadcasting in MBS’s Drama Phil slot on November 21, 2024. Miho Watanabe and Nanaka Tomita lead a fresh cast of actresses and idols in a coming-of-age school drama about ten girls working toward their dreams and searching for something more important than the promises they must keep.

Two traditional schools stand in Japan’s Kansai region. Osaka’s Takizakura Girls’ Academy has established its reputation through the success of a select idol club within its performing-arts course, while Hyogo’s Tsubakisakuhana Girls’ High School remains an old-fashioned college-preparatory school. Rurika and Anzu, the daughters of the rival schools’ chairwomen, meet through idol activities. Their encounter brings great changes to the small worlds around them.

The complete six-episode series is accompanied by making-of footage, a clean opening sequence and promotional spots. The box includes a sleeve case, a twenty-page booklet and two bromide photographs.
