Maesetsu! Opening Act Volume 3 Blu-ray

A new Kagami Yoshimizu production takes the stage. Four young women aspiring to become comedians strive through the challenges of everyday life.

Nineteen-year-olds Fubuki Kitakaze, Mafuyu Kogarashi, Rin Shintani and Nayuta Asogi spend their days and nights working part-time jobs and practicing their comedy routines. Their ideal is to make everyone happy with laughter, and to become happy themselves through other people's happiness. They work hard under this lofty banner, but success remains elusive.

Their goal is to perform at Namba Grand Kagetsu, the comedy world's equivalent of Nippon Budokan. First, however, they decide to begin closer to home: they aim for the stage in the lowest Farm Class at Mugen Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Their rivals, at least in their own minds, are the active high-school comedians JK Cool. Those performers are also seniors at the school attended by Mafuyu's younger sister Manatsu and her childhood friend Kanae Kanari. These two first-year high-school girls also begin aspiring to comedy careers. Eight people across four pairs struggle through their everyday lives in comedy. Milk goes flying; laughter cannot be concealed.

Volume three contains episodes seven through nine. The original first pressing included an illustrated digipack in a clear sleeve, two illustrated coasters, a twelve-page booklet and a bonus CD; these first-press items are subject to copy availability.
