Management of a Novice Alchemist Anime

What I can do, for everyone's sake — I am starting a business! A fantasy and workplace comedy from Shosetsuka ni Naro becomes a television anime. This is the second volume of Management of a Novice Alchemist.

Kanon Takao plays Sarasa, the newly qualified alchemist who opens a shop in the remote village of Yok after graduating. Hina Kino plays Lorea, a village girl who becomes the shop's clerk. Saori Onishi plays Iris, a gatherer who, through unexpected circumstances, moves into the shop's upstairs rooms with Kate. Nanaka Suwa plays Kate, Iris's childhood friend and partner. These popular and skilled voice actresses give lively performances as the distinctive characters.

Story: Sarasa, a novice alchemist raised in an orphanage, dreams of opening a shop like her late parents. As a graduation gift from the academy, her teacher gives her a vacant shop in a remote village. Delighted that her dream is coming true sooner than expected, Sarasa arrives to find a dilapidated building, unfamiliar communication, dangerous material gathering and monster hunting! Armed with extensive knowledge, powerful magic and trained swordsmanship, she struggles in an unfamiliar land. Through running her shop, the feelings and alchemy that spread around her create encounters and bonds.

Main programme: episodes 5–8.

Regular extras: the previously unreleased new mini anime Hot Spring, Part 2; mini anime numbers 5–8; audio commentary; the first collection of promotional videos and television commercials; and the next-episode previews released on the web.

The original first-production campaign advertised four extras: a newly written novel by original author Mizuho Itsuki; a slipcase newly illustrated by original character designer Fuumi; a digipack newly illustrated by character designer Yosuke Ito; and a special booklet. The catalogue marks these first-production extras as no longer available. They are historical campaign information and are excluded from the promised contents of this regular edition.
