Maruhi no Mitsuko-san Blu-ray Box

Maruhi no Mitsuko-san Blu-ray Box follows a transformation expert whose promise of success conceals an unsettling mystery. Haruka Fukuhara plays Mitsuko Motomiya, a total coordinator who changes appearances through styling, reshapes attitudes through coaching and makes scandals disappear through less visible methods. Whatever it takes, she gets results for her clients.

Her latest client is Natsu Imai, played by Yasuko Matsuyuki, a single mother worn down by a run of bad luck. Together they pursue an extraordinary reinvention: turning Natsu into a successful company president. Yet Mitsuko has reasons of her own for entering Natsu's life, leaving the story poised between an alluring success drama and a suspenseful search for the truth.

Shuhei Uesugi, Hiroya Shimizu, Sara Shida, Sakura Kiryu, Hinako Sakurai, Mario Kuroba, Makiko Watanabe and Rumiko Koyanagi also appear. Ken Arai supplies the music, with Superfly's Charade as the theme song.

The box contains approximately 442 minutes of main programme on five Blu-rays, plus a sixth disc of supplementary footage. A special making-of programme is joined by interviews with Fukuhara and a joint interview with Fukuhara and Matsuyuki. A full-colour booklet completes the set.

The widescreen presentation includes Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 stereo. Japanese subtitles are available for the main programme, and the Blu-ray discs are region-free.
