meiyo gathers a string of viral pop songs on POP SOS, his first album since his major-label debut. Nani Yatte mo Umaku Ikanai, the debut song that spread through social media and earned a TikTok buzzword-award nomination, appears alongside Mikansei Resonance, created with ZONe ENERGY, and Kokoro, Odoru Ho de., the 2023 au Santaro commercial song.
The fourteen-track album also lets meiyo reclaim songs he wrote for artists across the musical spectrum. He performs his own versions of Root's Nee yo na, asmi's PAKU, Hamaiku's Beat DE Tohi and Akiko Wada's KANPAI FUNK, the latter featuring Frederic.
