Mieruko-chan Animation

She survives every encounter with grotesque, terrifying beings by completely ignoring them! The hugely popular manga brings its fresh blend of horror and comedy to television anime.

A sensation since its short stories were first posted on Twitter, Mieruko-chan became a much-talked-about manga serialised on ComicWalker. One day, Miko Yotsuya suddenly begins seeing grotesque, frightening beings. Even when she encounters them, her response is to ignore them completely! “I haven’t seen anything. I haven’t noticed anything!” This new kind of horror comedy, in which she endures every encounter by pretending nothing is there, began airing as a television anime in October 2021.

Miko Yotsuya has suddenly gained the ability to see monstrous apparitions. Her best friend Hana Yurikawa is innocent and cheerful, while her classmate Yulia Niguredō aspires to become a powerful spiritual medium.

The release also includes ghost-story readings and audio commentary as recurring bonus features.

When you see something that should not be visible, when you see something you should never have looked at, what would you do...? If that thing began talking to you, if it started approaching you, what would you do...?

Would you flee as fast as you could? Learn suspicious supernatural techniques, or seek out a medium and fight? High-school student Miko Yotsuya chooses a different course: ignore it completely! She hasn’t seen a thing, and she hasn’t noticed a thing!

This is the story of a high-school girl who uses nerves of steel and exceptional powers of ignoring things to avoid grotesque, terrifying beings... You simply cannot see them, but they may be beside you too. Look...

This volume includes the ghost story Kusari, read by Hana Yurikawa, audio commentary, and promotional-video and commercial collections.
