Mobile Suit Gundam Anime

That flash is humanity's hope. The hit film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway arrives on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray! Enjoy the force of Hathaway at home through richly coloured, high-quality 4K video, with four times Blu-ray's resolution, HDR and Dolby Atmos sound.

The film adapts Yoshiyuki Tomino's original novel published in 1989. A sequel in the Universal Century series directly following Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, which portrayed Amuro and Char's decisive battle, Hathaway was once considered impossible to film and is being adapted as a trilogy of animated films.

Twelve years have passed since the Second Neo Zeon War, Char's Rebellion. It is U.C.0105. Corruption within the Earth Federation government accelerates Earth's pollution, while its inhumane Man Hunter policy forcibly sends civilians into space. The anti-Earth Federation movement Mafty begins resisting through the ruthless assassination of senior government officials.

Its leader calls himself Mafty Navue Erin. His true identity is Hathaway, son of Federation colonel Bright Noa, who fought in the One Year War. Carrying Amuro Ray's and Char Aznable's principles, ideals and intentions, Hathaway seeks a path as a warrior. Yet encounters with Federation colonel Kenneth Sleg and the mysterious young woman Gigi Andalucia dramatically alter his destiny.

The cast features Kensho Ono as Hathaway Noa, Reina Ueda as Gigi Andalucia, Junichi Suwabe as Kenneth Sleg, Soma Saito as Lane Aim, Kenjiro Tsuda as Gawman Nobile, Yui Ishikawa as Emeralda Zubin, Fukushi Ochiai as Raymond Cain, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Iram Masam, Misato Matsuoka as Mihessha Hence, Chiharu Sawashiro as Mitsuda Kenji, Atsumi Tanezaki as Mace Flower, Koichi Yamadera as Hundley Yeoksan and Toru Furuya as Amuro Ray.

The disc contains the 95-minute film and approximately five minutes of promotional video: the trailer, teaser announcements 1 and 2, the teaser promotional video and trailer 1. A special booklet, announced as sixteen pages, is enclosed. Japanese and English subtitles can be switched on or off.

Playback requires an Ultra HD Blu-ray-compatible recorder or player; standard Blu-ray and DVD players cannot play this disc. An HDR-compatible 4K television or projector is required to enjoy HDR. Playback on a non-HDR 4K or high-definition display uses standard dynamic range.
