Forty years after Tondemo Senshi Muteking finished airing, Muteking returns in an extraordinary new era. Tatsunoko Production’s 1980 superhero comedy dazzled children with vivid primary colours and a world reminiscent of America’s West Coast, inviting them into a cutting-edge dream world.

In 2021, a new Muteking emerged with a creative team including Hiroshi Sasagawa, Ryosuke Takahashi, Yuzo Sato and Utomaru. Against the city-pop backdrop of Neo San Francisco, the possibility of a tender romance unfolds alongside spectacular live performances and dance battles brought to life with 3D computer graphics. This fabulous science-fiction superhero romantic comedy saves the world through song and dance.

MUTEKING has become the talk of the town. Dressed in a red jacket, Muteki strikes poses in front of a mirror. DJ and the others tease him, but he does not seem entirely displeased. Volume 2 collects episodes four through six and includes a leaflet.
