My Home Hero Live-Action TV Series Blu-ray Box follows an ordinary father's abrupt descent into a dangerous world. Tetsuo Tosu, played by Kuranosuke Sasaki, wants nothing more than a quiet life with his wife Kasen and their only daughter Reika. On his forty-seventh birthday, the reunion he has been looking forward to instead reveals bruises on Reika's face and a problem she refuses to explain.

Worried for his daughter, Tetsuo secretly visits her apartment. When her volatile boyfriend Nobuto arrives, he hides in a closet and overhears that Nobuto has killed a previous girlfriend and intends to hurt Reika. A split-second decision to protect her brings the family's peaceful everyday life to an end, setting this adaptation of Naoki Yamakawa and Masashi Asaki's manga in motion.

Asuka Saito plays Reika and Tae Kimura plays Kasen, alongside Kyohei Takahashi, Yasushi Fuchikami and Shuichiro Naito. Takuma Otoo and special guest Eisaku Yoshida also appear in the cast. The box contains all ten television episodes, distinct from the separately released feature-film continuation.

Supplementary footage includes an episode-six visual commentary with Kuranosuke Sasaki, Kyohei Takahashi, Asuka Saito and Tae Kimura, a making-of programme, the recorded production presentation and a trailer collection. Three discs hold the episodes and a fourth contains supplementary material; an outer case and twelve-page booklet complete the set.

The main programme runs approximately 238 minutes, with additional extras. Released by Culture Publishers and distributed by TC Entertainment, the region-free Blu-ray box presents Japanese Linear PCM stereo audio and no subtitles.
