My Housekeeper Nagisa-san Blu-ray Box

Mikako Tabe stars in a heartwarming romantic comedy about a clumsy twenty-eight-year-old single woman and the upheaval that begins when she hires a middle-aged male housekeeper.

Mei Aihara, played by Mikako Tabe, is a driven career woman working as a pharmaceutical sales representative. She is better at her job than anyone else, yet this single woman approaching thirty cannot manage housework at all. On the night of her twenty-eighth birthday, an unfamiliar middle-aged man suddenly appears in her hopelessly cluttered room.

He is Nagisa Shigino, played by Nao Omori, a super-housekeeper who performs every household chore perfectly. Through an unexpected turn of events, Mei ends up hiring him. At first she refuses, declaring that she absolutely does not want a middle-aged man in her home, but gradually she begins to find comfort and warmth in his presence.

Meanwhile, Mei faces a new rival at work: Tadokoro, played by Koji Seto, a sales representative for a competing pharmaceutical company. This formidable opponent puts the previously unbeatable high achiever in danger. Despite Mei's wariness, the charming Tadokoro suddenly grows closer to her. Will he turn both her work and love life upside down?

The four-Blu-ray box contains all nine episodes, running for 447 minutes, the twenty-five-minute Newlywed Heart-Fluttering Special in its DVD and Blu-ray special-edit version, and 202 minutes of extras. Three discs hold the main programs, with one bonus disc, and a twenty-page booklet is enclosed.

The extras include every episode of the Paravi original spin-off My Subordinate Haruto-kun; individual interviews with Mikako Tabe, Nao Omori and Koji Seto; a three-way conversation between those three stars; making-of footage; bloopers and mishaps; a housework quiz; a look at how Mei's cluttered room was created; Shimpei Kurihara's Nagisa Meals; secret techniques useful at home; filming wrap-ups; and promotional spots.
