My Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex Animation

The popular novel that won the grand prize in the romantic-comedy category of the third Kakuyomu Web Novel Contest becomes the animated series My Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex. Enjoy its sweet, frustrating and irresistibly quarrelsome romance again and again.

A boy and a girl begin dating in junior high school. They share affectionate moments, then drift apart over little disagreements. Irritation gradually outweighs excitement, and they break up when they graduate.

Just before starting high school, Mizuto Irido and Yume Ayai meet again in a completely unexpected way. “Obviously I'm the older brother.” “Obviously I'm the older sister!” Their parents are remarrying, and each parent's new stepchild is the former partner they have only just broken up with.

Out of consideration for their parents, the former couple agrees on a rule for their new sibling relationship: whoever starts seeing the other romantically loses. But unexpected encounters after a bath and journeys to and from school alone together keep bringing back old memories. Living under the same roof makes it impossible to stop noticing each other.

This third volume has a sleeve with a new illustration by TakayaKi and a tall-case jacket newly illustrated by project No.9. A substantial original story newly written by Kyosuke Kamishiro, available only with this release, and a specially made postcard complete the package.
