Parallel World Pharmacy Anime

This power, this knowledge, must be meant to save someone. The fully developed pharmacy fantasy, with more than 2.5 million copies in circulation, becomes a television anime!

The original Parallel World Pharmacy novels by Liz Takayama were serialized on the novel-submission website Shosetsuka ni Naro and published by MF Books. Director Keizo Kusakawa, who directed Fuuka and has directed and staged numerous notable productions, leads the adaptation.

Story: Kanji Yakutani, a pharmaceutical researcher in modern Japan, awakens to find he has been reincarnated as Farma de Medicis, son of the distinguished de Medicis family of court pharmacists. Farma is dismayed by the state of medicine in this world, where incorrect treatments and drug preparations prevail alongside sorcery and charms that cannot be called medical practice. Combining the modern pharmaceutical knowledge cultivated in his previous life with his new powers to create and erase matter and the divine arts available only to nobles, he confronts diseases of every kind. He opens Parallel World Pharmacy so that genuinely effective medicines can reach people widely. Otherworldly powers meet modern pharmaceutical science in a fantasy of helping people and changing another world's medicine: open for business today!
