Patalliro! Anime 40th Anniversary Blu-ray Box

The Patalliro! anniversary Blu-ray Box is here! Celebrating the fortieth anniversary of its television animation in 2022 and the forty-fifth anniversary of the original manga in 2023, this commemorative box brings together Patalliro! and Boku Patalliro!, which began airing in April 1982. Digitally remastered from the original masters, the series returns in a compact, affordable package for an uninterrupted viewing experience.

Patalliro VIII is the young king of Marinella, a warm and beautiful little country in the southern seas. With the extraordinary resilience of a cockroach and the reflexes of a cat, he travels around the world and beyond the boundaries of time and space. His country is an earthly paradise that promises a prosperous life, but dark conspiracies targeting its riches never cease.

He possesses eighteen remarkable skills, including the rumoured cockroach running technique, Negoro-style shuriken throwing and the ability to spout water from his ears, along with a love of teasing others and a genius intellect that allowed him to graduate from university at nine. As Marinella's boy king, he protects his country.

Major Bancoran of British intelligence, also known as the Beautiful Boy Killer, serves as his bodyguard. Behind his beautiful appearance lie cool-headed thinking and decisive action, while his unrivalled marksmanship saves Patalliro in the nick of time. Teasing and being teased, making fools of others and being made a fool of himself, the irrepressible Patalliro races through some corner of the world again today, lightly clapping along to the Cook Robin Ondo.

The accompanying extras include the theatrical feature Patalliro! Stardust Project, a miniature reproduction art board with a newly drawn illustration by the original creator, and a special booklet.
