PlayStation 4 Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War & Nightmare

Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War & Nightmare builds on the squad-action game Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War, released in 2007, with modern technology and many new elements. Development again comes from Omega Force, the Koei Tecmo Games team behind Dynasty Warriors and other action games.

You become a mercenary living through the Hundred Years' War between England and France. Command units of different types as the situation changes in real time and lead your army to victory. Alongside improved visuals, the game adds an original Nightmare story featuring giant monsters, strategic switching between controlled squads, attacks by armies of up to 200 soldiers, network multiplayer and expanded character editing.

Direct your squads and break the enemy

Take command of many kinds of troops, from infantry, archers and cavalry to war elephants, artillery and siege weapons. Control squads made up of dozens of soldiers directly, using their varied actions to sweep aside opposing units for a distinctive sense of exhilaration.

Each soldier on both sides acts with individual AI. Large armies clash in fierce attacks and defences, creating battles with an overwhelming sense of scale and realism.

Four squads and up to 200 soldiers

Switch between as many as four squads to pursue objectives across a wide area. Combine squads into an army for powerful all-out attacks involving up to 200 soldiers. Switching between attacking squads within the army also lets you create combos, bringing tactical decisions and satisfying action together.

Two story campaigns

The Hundred Years' War campaign uses a Free Mission System that lets you choose whether to fight for England or France before each battle. Experience the conflict from both sides, with historical heroes such as Joan of Arc and Edward the Black Prince adding to the story.

The original Nightmare campaign introduces huge creatures including dragons and cyclopes. Historical heroes become caught up in a new conflict as English and French forces mix together to fight a mysterious enemy, presenting a completely different world of the Hundred Years' War.

Modern technology and new ways to play

New graphics technology brings immersive fighting to substantial medieval battlefields. Online multiplayer through the game's network features and a renewed character-editing system add further ways to enjoy the game and make the experience more comfortable.
