SCE Japan Studio and FromSoftware join forces again on PlayStation 4. The team that created Demon's Souls, a landmark action RPG, returns with an entirely new action RPG exclusive to PlayStation 4.

An entirely new action RPG

The partnership that introduced a new game experience through Demon's Souls seeks to innovate again around the themes of intense fights to the death, exploring the unknown and freely sharing exploration. Experience overwhelming encounters beyond unprecedented mortal struggles.

The cursed ancient city of Yharnam

Far to the east, in remote mountains away from human settlements, this forgotten city is known as a cursed place. A strange endemic disease, the plague of beasts, has spread there since ancient times. Yharnam once prospered, yet it is a gloomy city: faith nurtures narrow-mindedness, and its streets are filled with sickness, blood and the smell of death.

Hunters face the strange beings in the dark

Those afflicted by the plague of beasts become possessed by beasts and lose their human reason. The people who hunt these creatures, now no longer human, are called hunters. With distinctive weapons such as a transforming saw cleaver and beast-hunting firearms, and light clothing without armour, hunters employ a variety of tactics as they move and fight.
