That final summer, we set out to find what truly mattered

A new RPG rooted in the original Blue Reflection, released in 2017. Mel Kishida's luminous character designs depict the complex, recognisable youth of a diverse cast of girls, portraying their struggles, friendship and adolescence as they strive to survive in another world.

Blue Reflection: Second Light follows Ao Hoshizaki after she wanders into an unfamiliar world. Living together with girls who have lost their memories, she searches for a way back to her original world.

The visual presentation has also evolved, with fantastical landscapes mixing reality and unreality, and expressive faces and gestures that bring the girls to life.

Alongside this game, the television anime Blue Reflection Ray and the smartphone/PC game Blue Reflection Sun were launched as related projects, each featuring different characters and settings. Each work can be enjoyed individually, while experiencing the anime, smartphone/PC game and this title offers a fuller experience of the Blue Reflection world.

A story of girls' bonds, connecting their feelings as one

One day during summer vacation, Ao Hoshizaki visits her school and wanders into an unfamiliar world.

An expansive blue sky, beautiful clear water stretching all around, and a sun that scorches the skin. Amid this summer landscape, Ao seems to have been left behind in a world containing only a school and water as far as the eye can see.

Three girls live in the solitary, floating school. They have lost their memories; all they know about one another are their names.

Though bewildered, Ao begins an unusual shared life with them. Together, they search for clues that might lead them back to their original world.

One day, in a world that previously contained only the school and its surrounding water, a path suddenly appears, leading towards an unfamiliar landscape.

Ao and the others gather their courage and step forward. Beyond the path lies a strange place where seemingly familiar things are scattered irregularly.

As they continue, confused but determined to discover the whole picture and search for clues, they encounter monsters unlike anything they have ever seen. When they find themselves in danger, the girls acquire mysterious powers.

A world that seems to have trapped summer, and girls who have lost their memories. When the mystery is solved, what will they gain?

Ao Hoshizaki

“Ugh, I don't understand! What is this world?!”

Ao is a girl who leads an ordinary everyday life. After failing her end-of-term exams, she enters the school during summer vacation for remedial lessons, only to wander into an unfamiliar world.

There she meets Kokoro, Yuki and Rena, and works with them to find a way back to their original world.

The characters and voices

Kokoro Utsubo is voiced by Tomoyo Takayanagi; Yuki Kinjou by Yu Serizawa; Rena Miyauchi by Maki Kawase; and Hinako Shirai by Yuki Takada. These performers join Kanako Yanagihara as Ao Hoshizaki, among the game's cast.

Even in this extraordinary world, the girls cooperate to make their lives richer and find things to enjoy. As Ao and her companions deepen their bonds, they draw closer to clues about this world's mysteries and their lost memories.

Work together to make food and tools needed for daily life. The quality, effects and quantity of the finished items can change depending on whom you create them with.

Your companions can ask for facilities they would like, and you can visit the facilities you build together.

Explore mysterious landscapes

Dangerous monsters also appear in the newly emerging fields. To obtain clues that might help you return to your original world, continue exploring, sometimes confronting monsters and sometimes hiding from them.
