Chocobo's dungeon adventure, with new ways to play

Based on Chocobo's dungeon adventure released in 2007, this edition renews the systems and adds new features, bringing together the appeal of the Chocobo Mystery Dungeon series.

Story

One day, the treasure hunters Chocobo and Cid wander into a mysterious town. It is a town that has forgotten time, where people believe they can become happy by forgetting.

Whenever the clock tower's bell rings, the inhabitants forget all their memories—sometimes even their own names.

Then a mysterious boy named Raffaello appears. After his arrival, labyrinths created from the townspeople's memories begin to appear, and through Chocobo's efforts the inhabitants gradually recover their memories.

And the memories sealed away within the town begin to awaken...

A mysterious dungeon that changes whenever you enter

The terrain of each mysterious dungeon changes every time Chocobo enters. The traps and items scattered throughout also change, so each challenge offers a new adventure.

Whenever Chocobo walks, kicks or uses an item, the world advances one step as well. Fight many monsters as you aim for the dungeon's lowest floor.

When Chocobo moves, the world moves too—that is the defining rhythm of Mystery Dungeon.

The new Buddy System

The Buddy System lets you befriend every monster and bring them into dungeons. Collect monster companions and use their help to conquer the labyrinths.

Characters can join you too. Might familiar characters from earlier adventures also appear?

Cooperative play is also available.

Change jobs to suit each dungeon

By obtaining job memories during the adventure, Chocobo can transform into different jobs.

Changing jobs alters his appearance, available abilities and statistics. Each job has different characteristics; select one suited to the dungeon to explore with an advantage.

There are 14 jobs with different looks and usable abilities, including new jobs. Alpha joins as a new job.
