Play Deathsmiles, originally released in arcades in 2007; its expanded Mega Black Label version; and the sequel, Deathsmiles IIX: Merry Christmas in Hell, in one game package.

The collection also includes all the arranged versions previously playable in the home-console releases, making for a substantial collection.

• Deathsmiles: Arcade, Ver.1.1 and Normal.
• Deathsmiles Mega Black Label: Arcade, Ver.1.1 and Normal.
• Deathsmiles IIX: Merry Christmas in Hell: Arcade, IIX and Arrange.

Comprehensive training and online rankings

Training Mode lets you finely configure stages and your character's state for practice. Its extensive settings make the game approachable for beginners while allowing advanced players to pursue exactly the kind of play they want.

Online rankings provide separate leaderboards for each title and each version. Aim for a high score!

Deathsmiles meets Gothic wa Mahou Otome

This special edition is themed around a collaboration with Gothic wa Mahou Otome — Hurry Up and Make a Contract!, the smartphone shooting RPG that shares its world with Deathsmiles.

Historically, the collaboration introduced the five maidens—Ranan, Cattleya, Souffle, Plumeria and Rosalie—as separately downloadable playable characters, bringing the smartphone game's cast to home consoles.

The separate additional-character entitlement is not included with this Used physical copy. That optional character set was designed for the Ver.1.1 and Normal modes of Deathsmiles and Deathsmiles Mega Black Label, and was also announced for separate sale through platform stores.

Original physical special-edition contents

The LOVE MAX EDITION originally included the Gothic wa Mahou Otome “DEATHSMILES Respect Arrange” soundtrack CD, collecting arrangements written for the collaboration by Gothic wa Mahou Otome composer Daisuke Matsumoto. It is an edition created for fans to both see and hear.

The presence and condition of the original special-edition box and soundtrack CD depend on the individual Used copy.
