A new Musou experience in an open world

For the first time in the series, the Chinese continent is represented as one vast map in an open world that allows the course of play to vary in many ways.

A vast continent and a story of more than ten chapters

Beautiful graphics depict varied regions including snowfields, jungles and deserts, with day and night and weather changing in real time.

Castles, fortresses and landmarks across the continent are recreated, including major cities and passes such as Luoyang and Hulao Gate, the Yellow River and Mount Song. Experience a new level of immersion.

A story consisting of more than ten chapters includes many event scenes associated with the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, bringing to life the world created by its many officers.

Missions and requests change the battlefield: choose your own approach

Countless varied missions arise throughout the continent. Key Missions significantly advance the story of the era in which your chosen officer is active. Other missions influence those Key Missions, while requests come from many different people.

The situation changes continually according to your choices. For example, completing an escort mission can advance the allied front and allow a large force to attack a castle.

Battles large and small offer many approaches. Break through from the front, launch a surprise attack from high ground or infiltrate alone at night.

When attacking castles and forts, you can also use a grappling hook to climb their walls. Enjoy the magnificent world of the Three Kingdoms in your own way.

State Combo: new action that changes with the enemy's condition

Trigger Attacks, performed with R1 plus Square, Circle or Triangle, change an enemy's state, for example by launching or stunning them.

Flow Attacks, performed with Square, unleash consecutive attacks suited to the enemy's state. You can continue attacking an opponent that you have launched into the air.

Reactive Attacks, performed with Triangle, change according to your situation with the enemy and your timing. Against an opponent guarding with a shield, you can unleash an attack that breaks their guard.

New officers, new outfits and everyday appearances

Appealing new officers join the cast. All eighty-three Musou officers from previous Dynasty Warriors games also return with renewed outfits, making this world more varied.

Every officer has an everyday outfit worn in daily life. Meeting officers in towns reveals new sides of them that differ from their battlefield appearances.
