PlayStation 4 Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires

Engrave your way of life on the battlefield!

This title celebrates the Dynasty Warriors series' twentieth anniversary. Presented as the latest Empires game at release, it combines the exhilarating action of taking on a thousand enemies with the simulation elements of conquering territory.

Command troops freely in intense siege battles

Combat changes substantially from earlier entries. Instead of advancing from your own camp to the enemy camp and planning how to defeat the enemy commander, battles now become sieges in which the whole area surrounding a castle forms the battlefield and opposing forces fight to capture it.

As the situation changes from moment to moment, use a variety of strategies and your own martial strength to pursue the question of how to attack the castle. Enjoy this new style of combat as you employ siege engines and instructions issued during battle to bring down the enemy headquarters.

Seize enemy bases on the way to the headquarters, break through castle gates with siege engines and defeat opponents through varied tactics, including fire attacks, night raids and incitement.

A political system shaped by officers' personalities and trust

The political system returns, with your choices and interactions with officers determining your faction's rise and fall. Experience many ways of life as a ruler, general, ordinary soldier or unaffiliated officer.

The highly flexible domestic administration familiar from the Empires series remains. From these different positions, work toward unifying the entire continent under your faction.

Follow the faction policy decided at the council held every six months. At the council, missions are assigned according to the ruler's personality and the faction's circumstances. Their results change according to the trust between the officers carrying out a mission together.

To obtain better results, interact repeatedly with allied officers and build relationships of trust. These connections provide the foundation for a stronger nation.

With commands available each month, search for new officers and recruit them, or purchase arrows and equipment. Depending on your officer's position, you can also issue various commands concerning military affairs, national prosperity and diplomacy.

Live a dramatic life with an enhanced Edit feature

The Edit feature familiar from Empires is more extensive than before. Combine your favorite parts to create an original officer who serves as your own avatar.

Various events involving the officers you create and the heroes living in the Three Kingdoms world dramatically depict their personal relationships, giving your own Three Kingdoms experience a more dramatic form.
