A hundred heroes' hopes intersect on the battlefield

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is an RPG with a scenario by Yoshitaka Murayama and character designs by Junko Kawano. It became the highest-funded game in Kickstarter's 2020 games category, with support from backers around the world making its development possible. The action RPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, released in 2022, tells the prelude to this story.

The story of Allraan

The continent of Allraan contains many nations, each with different peoples, values and cultures. One of them, the militarily powerful Galdean Empire, is searching for a Primal Lens imbued with mysterious power.

Nowa joins the League of Nations' watch and takes part in a joint lens-searching mission with the Empire. There he meets another protagonist, the imperial officer Seign Kesling. Overcoming difficulties together, the two come to understand one another's aspirations and eventually discover the Primal Lens they seek, unaware that their discovery will trigger war between the Empire and the League.

The third protagonist, Marisa, is a young Guardian who has inherited special techniques for handling rune-lenses and protecting ancient ruins. Holding firmly to her beliefs, she too throws herself into the conflict.

More than a hundred heroes, each with a story

Nowa, Seign and Marisa meet more than a hundred distinctive heroes on a continent transformed into a battlefield. These companions come from many peoples and backgrounds, with differing values, personal histories and convictions. Sometimes clashing, they gradually become comrades who fight together. As hero after hero gathers around the three protagonists, their number grows beyond a hundred, and their encounters help them discover the meaning of their own lives.

Pixel art and 3D bring an ensemble drama to life

In a world where mysterious rune-lenses hold great power, the three protagonists and their companions become increasingly caught up in war. A vast array of pixel-art characters and three-dimensional environments combine to create a fresh visual expression of this ensemble story.

Exhilarating turn-based command battles

Form a party of up to six heroes, freely selecting your combatants from the allies you have recruited. Each pixel-art hero fights with distinctive attacks and skills to defeat the monsters ahead. Pair companions with strong bonds to unleash different Hero Combos: turn the many connections between more than a hundred heroes into the power that brings victory.

Duels and large-scale war

Alongside ordinary battles, the story includes one-on-one duels and war sequences. Duels demand that you read the changing confrontation and outmanoeuvre your opponent. In war mode, survey the entire battlefield, anticipate what comes next and decide how to advance allied armies and which enemy forces to engage. These immersive battles unfold with the progress of the story.

Build a thriving headquarters town

Your heroes' home and military base begins as a small town and grows with each new companion. Expand military equipment, develop weapons and secure more troops, or cultivate fields, raise livestock and develop businesses such as souvenir shops and restaurants. Build entertainment facilities, including a theatre and a racecourse, and shape the town as you wish.

As new heroes arrive, fields, pastures and buildings appear, the town becomes livelier and a wide variety of playable minigames opens up. Work together with your companions to turn it into an energetic place filled with people's daily lives, prepare for battle and bring an end to the age of war.

A celebrated voice cast

More than a hundred heroes are brought to life by an extensive voice cast. CJ, Isha and Garoo, the protagonists of the 2022 prequel Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, also appear with voices. Enjoy the heroes' performances both in the main story and in minigames such as the theatre, where you can choose your preferred actors for the roles.
