Two games in one value set

This value set brings together two games featuring original artwork by Shiro Usume and Niro: Harvest OverRay and Ano Ko wa Ore kara Hanarenai.

Harvest OverRay — Story

A future in which science and technology have advanced enough to digitize many aspects of life, from everyday living to entertainment. But it is a future that is not so far away.

The protagonist, Makito Ouno, is a curious second-year student whose hobby is gaming.

Having played every kind of game to exhaustion and grown dissatisfied with recent games, Makito one day receives an invitation to the closed beta of the augmented-reality game Harvest Onreal.

It is the much-anticipated new game from Symel Corporation, creator of the hugely popular augmented-reality game Cherry Blossom, so he is full of anticipation. Yet its genre, “Live Game,” is one he has never heard of before.

Wondering what this genre could be, he casually starts playing...but his efforts to clear the game draw all sorts of people into a small commotion.

A game-loving young lady who is his sister's classmate. The school's strongest, diminutive senior. Even a mysterious lucky girl he met at the sea joins in.

Spending his time in the Next Generation Club, where his genius-programmer sister has made herself at home, he works with everyone toward clearing the game.

With this mismatched group of girls, their stories begin to overlap and move forward around Harvest Onreal.

It is something extraordinary within everyday life: days that promise to satisfy his curiosity.

Ano Ko wa Ore kara Hanarenai — Story

“I've always loved you, senpai! Please go out with me!”

A sudden confession in the school courtyard.

Before him stands a cute girl, her cheeks flushed and her eyes looking ready to burst into tears as she waits for his answer. He opens his arms and nods; the two share a passionate embrace and whisper their love to each other.

—A boy and a girl who have nothing to do with me, whose faces and names I do not even know.

“...So this is what people call having a fulfilling real life.”

At lunchtime on my first day at my new school, I happen upon this confession in a corner of the courtyard. Hiding behind the plants so they will not notice me, I mutter toward the sky.

“Those two...are you really that jealous...?”

Then my eyes meet those of a female student who, like me, is crouching behind the plants. Her pretty face reddens, and with a look of determination she says:

“...If that's the case...I'll give you a fulfilling real life...”

—I had no idea what she meant.

But those words started everything. For some reason, girls who seem rather...unusual begin gathering around me.

But how do you actually get a fulfilling real life? Make friends and have fun all the time? Should you, after all, be affectionate and lovey-dovey with a girlfriend?

More to the point, can we even do anything like that...?

In this season of dazzling blue skies, everyday life begins for me and these girls as we try to find that fulfilling real life—
