Klonoa is a side-scrolling action game with 3D graphics, first released by Namco in 1997. In a world full of original characters and a distinctive setting, the protagonist Klonoa sets off on an adventure to save the world.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series' first release, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil come together in the remastered Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series.

The worlds and gameplay remain intact while the graphics have been improved. Adjustable difficulty settings also make the games easier for newcomers to enjoy.

Klonoa: Door to Phantomile

Klonoa and his partner Huepow follow an airship that has crashed into the hills of Breezegale, the village of wind. There they find the dark king Ghadius holding the songstress Lephise captive. Klonoa sets out on an adventure across Phantomile to rescue her...

The game contains 18 stages. The mechanisms and enemies vary from stage to stage. Overcome the different obstacles and explore the world of Phantomile.

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil

Called the “black dream traveler,” Klonoa is transported to another world. There he meets the priestess-in-training Lolo and her companion Popka, and joins them on a journey to save the world. What sorrowful truth lies hidden there...?

The game contains 24 stages. The basic action controls remain, while new ways to travel include jumping into the “Fordon” cannon to fly through the air and stages where you glide on a float board.

Use captured enemies to advance

Capture enemies with your wind bullets and throw them at other enemies!

Use a captured enemy to perform a double jump, or hold the button for a long-distance jump, to make your way through each stage.

Choose your difficulty

Difficulty can now be selected. In addition to changing the number of hearts and the amount of damage taken, the range of the wind bullets used to attack also varies.

Support play

The support mode from Klonoa 2 has also been added to Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, making assistance from another player possible.

About these remasters

This product was developed based on the Wii version of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile released in 2008 and the PlayStation 2 version of Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil released in 2001. Some specifications differ.

PlayStation 5 upgrade

The PlayStation 4 physical version can be upgraded to the PlayStation 5 version at no additional cost. A PS5 Digital Edition without a disc drive cannot upgrade the physical version.

Purchasing the PlayStation 4 digital version through PlayStation Store also allows the PlayStation 5 version to be downloaded at no additional cost. Purchasing the PlayStation 5 digital version likewise allows the PlayStation 4 version to be downloaded at no additional cost. Those digital purchase options are separate from this physical edition.
