Let's go find the true treasure
Key's popular kinetic novel LOOPERS makes its long-awaited appearance on PlayStation 4.
LOOPERS is a science-fiction story combining Ryukishi07's mysterious, extraordinary scenario with Kei Mochizuki's appealing, stylish illustrations.
This ensemble drama follows boys and girls trapped in a looping world that repeats August 1 forever, delivering the moving experience unique to Key.
Madness, laughter and tears... This popular story draws you in with overwhelming developments that leave you scarcely a moment to catch your breath.
Story
Tyler is a high school student passionate about geohunting—treasure hunting using GPS.
One day during summer vacation, he happens to reunite with classmates from elementary school. While playing the game together, they become caught up in inexplicable phenomena.
The apparition of a girl from an urban legend. Friends falling into confusion and madness. Reality and illusion intersect. Tomorrow becomes today.
Every time 24 hours pass, “today” resets.
They have been swallowed by a supernatural phenomenon called the “vortex of time,” trapping them in a fate that endlessly repeats August 1.
There they meet other boys and girls who are also “loopers”: their leader Simon, and Mia, a girl with a mysterious air.
They try to join forces to escape this eternal prison, but—.
What is a kinetic novel?
LOOPERS is a kinetic novel—an electronic novel presented through text, graphics, music and voices.
There are no story branches determined by choices. Read through the story as if watching an anime or a film, or turning the pages of a novel.
Comfortable controls create an environment that makes it easy to become immersed without feeling conscious of operating the game.
Beautiful visuals, moving music, varied and immersive presentation, and a fully voiced story performed by a cast of popular voice actors all bring this quality story to life.
Full versions of three vocal songs
The game contains the full versions of the three vocal songs featured on the Soundtrack & Vocal Song CD that originally accompanied the limited PC edition: “Fukaki Yumemishi,” “Senya Ichiya VORTEX” and “Kimi to no Takara Sagashi.”
After finishing the story, you can listen to them through MUSIC under EXTRAS in the title menu.
The event CG illustrations added to the Nintendo Switch version are also included.
Text in three languages
The text supports Japanese, English and Simplified Chinese. Voices are fully voiced in Japanese only.
Settings and the digital manual also support all three languages. You can instantly switch the displayed language at any time during play.

“You don't have to remember. ...But if—you could remember. Then perhaps we could meet again.”
The main heroine.
Her expression resembles that of a wary cat, and she rarely smiles. Once she lets her guard down with someone, however, she places her complete trust in them.
A mysterious girl who does not say much about her past. Despite her youthful appearance, her speech and behavior are mature.
She has strong opinions about mentaiko, or spicy pollock roe.
Tyler — Akira Taira
Voiced by Tomohito Takatsuka.
“Then let's go treasure hunting!!!”
The protagonist. He attended the same elementary school as Hilda and Leona.
He looked rather plain and awkward when he was young, but has since grown into quite a handsome young man.
Inside, however, he is still an elementary school boy: energetic, passionate and simple. He is straightforward and stays positive no matter what.
He dresses as though he could head out trekking at any moment. In truth, he is a treasure-hunting fanatic through and through, spending his entire summer vacation absorbed in the many treasure hunts scattered throughout Tokyo.
Hilda — Kiriko Hiruda
Voiced by Hiyori Kono.
“Who! Are you calling! A delinquent?! You can't! Drink alcohol! Until you're twenty!!!”
She may look rough at first, but at heart she is earnest and well brought up. She is good at physical activity, but not so good at using her head.
A heroine who delivers her retorts through headbutts. She is a fool of a different sort from Tyler.
She is terrible with horror of any kind, and Leona constantly teases her for being a scaredy-cat.
She attended the same elementary school as Tyler and Leona.
Leona — Leona Machimura
Voiced by Shiori Izawa.
“Heehee... Hilda, you're seriously hilarious.”
A troubled, downbeat girl with few emotional ups and downs and a cool demeanor.
She is not taciturn; she enjoys chatting. Teasing Hilda is her favorite pastime.
She used to be a model student, but a certain experience changed the impression she gives considerably.
She attended the same elementary school as Tyler and Hilda.
Simon — Takaaki Saimon
Voiced by Ryohei Kimura.
“I welcome you all, and offer my heartfelt sympathy for the indescribable misfortune you have been caught up in.”
A cool male university student who looks good in glasses.
He brought the Loopers together and serves as their leader. He has spent a very long time in the looping world.
A kind of psychopath, he remains calm and unshaken in any abnormal situation. He is so detached that his mental age may already have reached old age.
He has a genius for memorization: a living memory device.
Joe — Jo Kirishima
Voiced by Yosuke Eto.
“Leave it to me! My muscles are roaring with joy!”
He has a large physique and enjoys strength training.
A cheerful mood-maker, he is simple-minded and as much of a fool as Tyler.
He shows off his muscles whenever an opportunity arises.
Holly — Sana Horii
Voiced by Hina Kino.
“If you enjoyed it, please subscribe to the channel, sir!”
A popular influencer with more than one million subscribers to her personal video channel, Holy Night Channel.
She posts silly challenge videos while speaking in a military style.
Ritapon — Misaki Rita
Voiced by Anna Yamaki.
“Welcome to LOOPERS, our gathering of cursed reincarnators. You are most welcome.”
A popular illustrator and manga artist working under the pen name Miracle Energy☆Ritapon D.
She works outside the bookstore distribution network.
She has a severe case of chunibyo: a tendency to act out grandiose fantasies.
