A new MELTY BLOOD begins

MELTY BLOOD is a series of 2D fighting games set in the world of Tsukihime, TYPE-MOON's long-form supernatural visual novel. Many entries have followed since the first game in 2002.

In 2021, MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA renewed the series with new visuals and battle systems, together with online play. Based on the setting of Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, the characters' tale of battle rises once again.

New scenarios, visuals and characters

Kinoko Nasu's scenarios depict a new MELTY BLOOD world based on the latest Tsukihime setting. In addition to individual character scenarios, the game includes stories in its bonus and completionist content.

All visuals have been renewed for an HD environment. A-1 Pictures produces the animated sequences used to present special moves.

The game is fully voiced throughout. Dialogue changes according to the combination of characters in a battle, with many such elements letting you experience the setting more deeply.

A battle system combining tradition and innovation

Development is handled by French-Bread, the team behind earlier MELTY BLOOD games. The controls pursue intense battles through simple operation, with design and balance intended for both fighting-game players and fans of the work.

Series hallmarks such as aerial combos, Shield, Magic Circuit, Arc Drive and Last Arc remain. New systems for unleashing powerful moves broaden the tactical exchanges and evolve the game into a modern fighting title.

Online battles debut in the console series

This entry introduces rollback netcode to the series, designed to provide online battles without the stuttering caused by connection delay.
