At BitSummit X-Roads, held in Kyoto on August 6 and 7, 2022, NeverAwake received the VERMILION GATE AWARD, the grand prize awarded to that year's most outstanding work.

Drawing attention worldwide at the time of its original release, the game was Neotro's latest work. The studio had continually pursued the quality demanded by dedicated shooter fans with games such as VRITRA HEXA, a side-scrolling shooter for the exA-Arcadia arcade system.

NeverAwake was developed to invite a broader audience, especially younger generations, to enjoy shooting games.
