PlayStation 4 PaRappa the Rapper

PaRappa the Rapper returns to PS4

The pop, cute and lively rhythm action game that took the world by storm alongside the original PlayStation returns on PlayStation 4 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The fun of rap and dance remains intact, with refreshed scenes and lively performances by PaRappa and his distinctive friends.

Adults and children alike can rap and dance on PS4.

Rap and dance without complicated controls

PaRappa faces many difficulties—somehow, through rap—in his effort to win Sunny’s heart. The teacher and PaRappa alternate their rap to the rhythm, and a stylish performance clears the stage.

No complex controls are needed. Watch the teacher’s rap scrolling at the top of the screen; when PaRappa’s turn arrives, follow the example by pressing the buttons with good timing. Playing with the groove raises your score and evaluation. Finish the song with a rating of GOOD or better to clear the stage.

Improvise in your own style

Once you know a song, try improvising in your own style. Instead of following the teacher exactly, rap freely with the music. An especially cool performance makes even the teacher flee, leaving PaRappa’s solo stage. His on-stage performance continues while you maintain a COOL rating.

Beautifully renewed scenes and familiar characters

The PS4’s expressive capabilities make the graphics finer and the movement smoother. The characters’ distinctive paper-thin appearance remains intact, while the scenes gain new visual detail and the cast looks more alive. Enjoy cool rap and dance on beautifully renewed stages.
