Resident Evil 4 returns on PlayStation 4
Resident Evil 4 is celebrated as a masterpiece that changed the series’ fixed-camera gameplay by introducing a behind-the-player view. It brought a new style of action and shooting gameplay together at an exceptional level. The classic returns on PlayStation 4 with higher resolution and a higher frame rate.
A complete change in threats and systems
Alongside major changes to the game’s systems, its story introduces a new threat in place of zombies: mysterious villagers led by the Los Illuminados cult. Its transformation merits the description of a complete model change.
The PlayStation 4 port delivers sharper graphics through higher resolution and frame rates, and includes content added in releases on later systems.
Story
The unprecedented biological disaster known as the Raccoon Incident has been exposed to the world, and Umbrella, the corporation behind it, has collapsed. Survivor Leon S. Kennedy has become an agent reporting directly to the president.
Following reports that the president’s kidnapped daughter has been seen there, Leon travels to an isolated European village. A new incident begins in this ominous place.
A new threat
The villagers Leon encounters can speak and retain their intelligence, appearing at first to be ordinary people. Yet they show extraordinary aggression toward intruders. Behind their behavior lies the shadow of a new biological weapon, different from the t-Virus that created zombies.
