PlayStation 4 Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin!

A Sakamoto Ryoma beyond historical truth is here. The eighth entry in the Ryu ga Gotoku series brings its latest adventure to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Set in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period, it brings together protagonist Sakamoto Ryoma and many of the historical heroes who raced through this turbulent age, unfolding a new version of the Bakumatsu era that no one has seen before. With the highest quality in the series to date across its visuals, story, battles and extensive activities to master, it delivers a first-class entertainment experience.

Ryu ga Gotoku all-stars and an outstanding cast of actors

Popular characters from throughout the Ryu ga Gotoku series return as historical heroes. Joining the cast are actor Katsunori Takahashi as Takechi Hanpeita, actress Nanami Sakuraba as the heroine Oryo, and actor Eiichiro Funakoshi as Isami Kondo. They appear not only through their voices but also as 3D CG characters created from their own faces. The meeting of the series' all-stars with this distinguished cast of actors is an ensemble possible only in this game, adding realism and depth to the story.

A powerful battle system reborn for the Bakumatsu era

Sakamoto Ryoma, also known as Hajime Saito, takes on a variety of enemies with a sword and a handgun. Four battle styles are available: the Swordsman style unleashes potentially fatal single sword strikes; the Gunman style uses a revolver to outmaneuver enemies; the Brawler style beats opponents with nothing but bare fists; and the Wild Dancer style combines sword slashes and gunfire for a furious assault. Familiar spectacular techniques, including Heat Actions and special techniques, also let you enjoy exhilarating action.

Battle Dungeon and Another Life: new activities packed with depth

Battle Dungeon offers a different experience from fighting in the streets. Bring allied Shinsengumi troopers into a dungeon as cards and make use of the various abilities those troopers possess in this new form of combat.

Another Life is a relaxed way of living in a separate home with the young girl Haruka. Grow vegetables, cook, sell your produce, fish and raise pets through the different activities available in this slow-life mode. These activities also feature cross-play with PS Vita, allowing you to enjoy their progression elements while away from home.
