PlayStation 4 Scarlet Nexus

Will that power destroy you, or become a bond?

A brainpunk action RPG in which you wield psychokinesis against the Others.

In a future world, science and technology have advanced around the brain powers with which everyone is born. One day, strange life forms known as the Others suddenly descend from the sky, seemingly targeting people's highly developed brains.

Conventional weapons cannot hurt or eliminate the Others. To resist them, humanity forms the Other Suppression Force, made up exclusively of people with extraordinary brain powers. For many years, this force has protected people's lives.

Yuito Sumeragi volunteers after a member of the force saved his life when he was a child. Kasane Randall is recruited because of her exceptionally powerful abilities. Both wield psychokinesis, and through their battles as new recruits they discover the truth about their own powers and the secrets hidden behind their world.

Experience psychic action using your own psychokinesis and your companions' different abilities, together with a substantial story told from the perspectives of two protagonists, in a world where the brain and technology have developed side by side.

Combine weapons and psychokinesis

Fight the Others by combining attacks with the weapon in your hands and your own psychokinesis. The more attacks you link into a combo, the stronger your psychokinetic attacks become, allowing you to inflict heavy damage.

Control objects on the battlefield

Psychic powers let you do more than throw objects at enemies. Depending on their shape, you can slam them down, swing them around and use them for a variety of attacks. Certain objects unique to their locations also trigger follow-up attacks after striking an enemy.

Borrow your companions' powers

The SAS system links brains through virtual cables, temporarily lending you your companions' psychic powers. Pyrokinesis, duplication, invisibility, teleportation and hardening are among the abilities available; the range of powers grows with your companions.

Borrowing the appropriate ability for an enemy's characteristics or the terrain of a map is the key to overcoming challenges.

A drama woven by two protagonists

Yuito Sumeragi, voiced by Junya Enoki, enlists after being saved as a child by a member of the Other Suppression Force. Kasane Randall, voiced by Asami Seto, is an elite recruit who consistently ranked first at training school.

A dramatic story awaits from their two perspectives as new members of the force. Choose either protagonist to begin the game. Playing both of their stories reveals the truth behind incidents that you could not fully understand before.

Conflict within the Other Suppression Force, the secret of the psychokinesis the two share, and the Red Strings that hold the key... A fate spanning the world is set in motion.
