PlayStation 4 SINce Memories: Off the Starry Sky – Limited Edition

Irreplaceable memories are here once again

Hello again, for the first time.

The Memories Off series began with its first game in 1999 and drew to a close with its eighth title in 2018. Even after the series concluded, many fans in Japan and abroad continued to send their support.

Following Memories Off's twentieth anniversary in 2019, an entirely new story begins, set in the present day and depicting new relationships of love.

A new relationship that begins with “I hate you”... or does it?

The series has always portrayed the painful and bittersweet sides of love, as well as its happiness. SINce Memories inherits that concept while introducing a variety of new elements: new memories that remain true to the familiar spirit, bringing more hardship, more joy, more sadness and more affection.

Character designs are by U35, an active manga artist and illustrator, bringing a fresh breeze to the series' new beginning.

A story of carrying on, unfolding at an all-purpose service business

Junya attends university while helping with his family's all-purpose service business, Mizumotodo. His heart remains bound by his feelings for his older brother, Takaya, who died the previous year.

“Why was I the one who survived?”

One day, he encounters a girl.

“You should have been the one to die.”

She says this to Junya and disappears without revealing who she is.

Then his childhood friend Chihaya Hojo brings him a project to renovate the Hojo family's old residence. It is the first large job for which Junya has been responsible.

Faced with one unfamiliar experience after another, Junya is unsure what to do. How will he confront a task that he cannot complete alone?

He meets many different people through the work. Their individual feelings bring problems and conflicts that pull him in different directions.

Will the renovation of the old Hojo residence succeed? Who was that girl? The connections surrounding his brother's death now begin to unfold.

New relationships beginning with “I hate you”... or perhaps something else

Chihaya Hojo is Junya's childhood friend and a close companion. She has quietly loved him ever since they were young.

Azusa Satomi is the mysterious girl who suddenly appears before him.

Hinata Ise is Chihaya's attendant and another of Junya's childhood friends.

Chunyu Huang is a Chinese exchange student attending the same university as Junya and his companions.

Yuriko Oyama is an established idol from Sumisora who is currently on a break from her career.

Their relationships develop as they clash over their different values and ways of thinking, and gradually become drawn to one another.

A setting inspired by Shonan and Kamakura

The story unfolds in a setting inspired chiefly by the coastal area between Kamakura and Enoshima. How has it changed in the ten years since the preceding series' final game?

The returning café YuKuRu, train stations and place names carry over from the previous series. A spring breeze bringing new life sounds the beginning of this new series.

A deeper, more dramatic unfolding story

The story progresses chapter by chapter. Two initial routes branch further into five individual character routes.
