PlayStation 4 Sol Cresta Dramatic Edition

Rise again, phoenix! Sol Cresta, take back the sun!

The counterattack of neo-classic shooting.

Dock! Split! Form up! Pilot three fighter ships and reclaim the sun from the clutches of evil!

A new free-form docking shooter inherits the spirit of Moon Cresta and Terra Cresta, the classics released in the 1980s that thrilled their players.

PlatinumGames' NEO-CLASSIC ARCADE series is a project that inherits the spirit of classic games and pursues their essential fun using modern technology.

Sol Cresta, the first game in the project, features a free-form docking system that further evolves the excitement of combining ships and the strategic formations of Moon Cresta and Terra Cresta.

The flagship Yamato consists of three ships: Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi and Susano. Its attack capabilities change in various ways according to the order in which they dock.

Splitting and docking, the keys to overcoming the game's challenges, can be performed freely. Use them to suit each situation and confront the invading armies of Mega Zofer.

Story

Humanity suffered a devastating defeat when Mandler, the demon lord of nothingness, invaded the solar system.

With the moon taken from them and driven off Earth, humanity has been forced to retreat to Laomedeia, Neptune's twelfth moon at the outer edge of the solar system.

Placing their hopes on one last chance, they form Sol Cresta, an organization devoted to reclaiming the solar system.

The future of the solar system rests with Yamato, a cutting-edge fighter-attack craft capable of docking.

Free-form docking

Yamato, the flagship confronting Mega Zofer, consists of three fighter ships.

You begin each stage by launching with one ship. As you acquire items, allied ships join you, giving you powerful upgrades!

In addition to changing attack capabilities by splitting and docking, you can use multiple formations to unleash more powerful and varied attacks.

A classic style that revives the excitement of the 1980s

The background music is composed by Yuzo Koshiro, a master of chiptune sound.

With graphics and sound that pay tribute to Moon Cresta and Terra Cresta while feeling both nostalgic and new, the energetic arcade scene of the 1980s returns in a form that goes beyond memories polished by nostalgia.

Caravan Mode challenges you to achieve the highest score you can within a time limit. Share this modern arcade experience with rivals around the world!

A new challenge for PlatinumGames

What happens when PlatinumGames, known for the responsive controls and satisfying gameplay of action games such as Bayonetta, NieR:Automata and Astral Chain, creates a shooter? The answer is here.

Despite its classic appearance, original game systems and substantial gameplay deliver a new kind of shooting experience that becomes deeper the more you play.

The original physical contents

The physical edition includes an instruction manual booklet.

The original production bonus consisted of a DELUXE slipcase, a limited trading card with a PlayStation 4 design, and the DELUXE+ mini-magazine. The retailer's bonus offer has ended.
