Neptunia Compile Heart

Lost memories, a fraying world, and a hero called Neptune

A self-proclaimed hero and her cheerful companions travel the world

2D games: flat games built from pixels and illustrations. Among the many dimensions, there is a world of Gamindustri where 2D games are the main form of entertainment.

This world is ruled by an organization devoted to 2D games, known as Bombyx Mori. People create 2D games and hand over their game cartridges as taxes.

Those who produce poor games or games using new technologies are sent to the Trial Grounds, where rumor has it their spirits are broken.

In this Gamindustri with no real future to speak of, a girl who has lost her memory awakens from sleep.

Not knowing which way to turn, the girl heads for a neighboring town on orders from Bombyx Mori, but monsters block her path. Fighting back with a cypress stick she finds on the ground, she wins a splendid victory.

And then she is certain: she herself is the hero, Neptune, the protagonist of this game.

The self-proclaimed hero Neptune meets all kinds of people and sets out on a journey with a mysterious book, Histoire, in her hands.
