A full-fledged mystery meets beautiful visuals
A genuine mystery by the winner of the 67th Edogawa Rampo Prize is brought together with beautiful visual artwork.
The scenario of Tasogare ni Hisomu Fukurou to, Akegata no Subaru is written by Momono Zappa, who won the 67th Edogawa Rampo Prize for Roko Zanmu.
Character designs, CG illustrations and original artwork are by U35, the original character designer for the television anime The Aquatope on White Sand. Momono Zappa's world of authentic mystery meets U35's clear, luminous characters.
The theme song that adds color to the story is performed by Kanako Ito, familiar from the theme songs of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kizuna and STEINS;GATE. Her voice fits the song's mysterious yet driving atmosphere, making it a major element of this game's world.
Story
It is winter at the private Seibunka Academy in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. Protagonist Subaru Sakaki and his childhood friend Honoka Takamura are excited about their last Christmas party as students.
But their enjoyable days vanish with a sudden announcement: their close friend Yashiro Miyabi and their homeroom teacher Asuka Yuri have been murdered.
Furthermore, their close friend Kazuha Shinozaki has been arrested as the culprit.
Believing in Kazuha, Subaru and Honoka begin investigating to uncover the truth. Behind the incident, however, someone closely connected to a certain secret shared by Subaru and Honoka is pulling the strings.
