The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Nihon Falcom

Eternal Edition: five original items in a special art box

This edition brings together five original items in a specially designed art box, including previously unpublished Confidential Synopsis scenario drafts available only in this limited edition, and an illustrated letter.

The original outer-package design differs from the Standard Edition.

The conclusion to the Trails of Cold Steel saga

With cumulative sales surpassing 1.2 million copies at the time of its announcement, the Trails of Cold Steel story RPG series reaches its conclusion.

Praised by players in Japan and overseas for its detailed character portrayals and grand storytelling, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series has earned numerous honors, including the Japan Game Awards Future Division award and the PlayStation Awards Users' Choice Award.

The latest installment and concluding chapter, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV – The End of Saga, was released on Thursday, September 27, 2018, as a PlayStation 4 title.

The Trails series brought together on its largest scale

The battle system is refined around the previous game's direct commands, Order and Break mechanics. New elements include Panzer Soldat summoning and Lost Arts, while Auto Mode makes play more comfortable with high-speed automatic battles.

New areas, guest appearances from earlier games, a wide range of minigames and an enormous number of quests involving many characters bring together the different elements of the Trails series in its concluding chapter. The playable cast and activities to pursue are among the series' largest.

Save-data links with Trails of Cold Steel III and the Kai editions

You can use cleared-game data from Trails of Cold Steel III in Trails of Cold Steel IV. Available bonus items and certain events also change according to your completed-game results, including quest completion and instructor rank.

Linking data from the PlayStation 4 editions Trails of Cold Steel I Kai and Trails of Cold Steel II Kai lets you obtain further bonus items.

Original physical contents

The edition originally included the packaged PlayStation 4 game The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV – The End of Saga and three books: Confidential Synopsis – SEN NO KISEKI 1, Confidential Synopsis – SEN NO KISEKI 2, and Confidential Synopsis – SEN NO KISEKI 3, each presented completely unedited.

These treasured scenario drafts were created before the main scenarios for Trails of Cold Steel I through III were written, and before the characters, settings and other designs were developed. Previously seen only by the development staff, they were published as books exclusively for the Eternal Edition.

Developments and scenes that differ from the finished games are included exactly as they appeared in the original drafts, completely unedited, across approximately 700 pages in total.

Altina's illustrated letter, “To Millium,” turns the message card Altina sent at Millium's request into an original illustrated physical collectible.

For this Used edition, the presence and condition of the original art box, books and illustrated letter depend on the individual copy.
