Tokyo Xanadu returns with a wealth of new features

From Nihon Falcom, the creators of the Trails and Ys series, Tokyo Xanadu was released in September 2015 as the company’s first contemporary drama. This urban-myth action RPG surpassed 150,000 copies sold—an exceptional result for a completely new PlayStation Vita title.

It is reborn on PlayStation 4 as Tokyo Xanadu eX+, packed with additional stories, new modes and many other new elements.

More vivid events and smoother battles

Graphics have been brought to full HD and the frame rate raised to a consistent 60 fps for the PlayStation 4 version, creating a more colorful, smoother game experience.

Battles in otherworld dungeons become smoother and more dynamic. The extensive event scenes centered on Kou and the other wielders of special abilities are depicted with greater detail and vividness.

New side stories and an after story

The scenario’s scope expands further with side stories told from the perspectives of characters other than protagonist Kou Tokisaka. These new stories explore experiences of the other chosen characters that could not be fully depicted in the main plot.

A substantial new after story portrays Morimiya City following the completion of the main story.

New playable characters

New playable characters include the light-element White-Clad figure and an enhanced version of Asuka.

The White-Clad figure is a mysterious knight belonging to the Spirit Church, a third force distinct from Nemesis, to which Asuka belongs, and Zodiac, to which Mitsuki belongs.

Along with high basic parameters, this character excels in shooting, aerial and power-attack skills. Use the light element and extraordinarily powerful skill attacks to challenge otherworld dungeons alone.

Time Attack and Boss Rush

Time Attack challenges you to defeat the many bosses—Elder Greeds—encountered in the story as quickly as possible. Boss Rush lets you take on all bosses in consecutive battles.

More dungeons, enemies and challenges

The new side stories and after story bring numerous additional otherworld dungeons, new Greeds and major Elder Greed bosses. More features reward players who want to explore the game in depth.

Five difficulty settings range from Beginner to Calamity: Beginner, Normal, Advanced, Elite and Calamity. Calamity goes beyond the highest difficulty of the PlayStation Vita release. The range accommodates both action-RPG newcomers and players seeking demanding challenges.
