The legend returns on PlayStation 4

The acclaimed PlayStation 3 game is reborn on PlayStation 4 with higher resolution and a higher frame rate.

Its story unfolds through five protagonists in five entertainment districts across Japan. At its original release, its scale, cast and overall volume were the largest in the Yakuza series.

The number of leisure destinations and participating companies also greatly exceeded earlier games. Yakuza steps into new territory as a game.

A story of four men and one girl's dreams

December 2012. Kazuma Kiryu has abandoned his past as a legendary yakuza and spends his days as a taxi driver, hiding his identity in a corner of Fukuoka's entertainment district.

Everything is for the sake of fulfilling someone dear to him's dream.

Meanwhile, the Tojo Clan faces a situation so volatile that a major war between east and west could break out at any moment.

Will the man once called the legendary dragon rise again when an old friend is in danger?

A sweeping story begins about four men and a girl whose lives have been transformed by their dreams.

Another Drama—new activities for each protagonist

Another Drama is a new feature that explores each protagonist more deeply through new action and everyday drama separate from the main story.

Experience action tailored to each protagonist: Kazuma Kiryu's Taxi Driving Action, Taiga Saejima's Snowy Mountain Hunter Survival, Haruka Sawamura's Idol Lessons, and new protagonist Tatsuo Shinada's Batting Battles.

Five major cities and a new dimension of leisure destinations

Alongside Tokyo's Kamurocho, the setting expands to Osaka's Sotenbori, Nagoya's Kineicho, Sapporo's Tsukimino and Fukuoka's Nagasugai.

Eat, fight and flirt in every city. The popular activities of the Yakuza series are included in abundance.

With regionally distinctive destinations, Taiko no Tatsujin, real pachinko and pachislot machines, and renewed hostess clubs, the scale of city entertainment reached its largest yet at the game's original release.

The game content is fundamentally the same as the PlayStation 3 release of Yakuza 5, although some changes have been made.
