Police in a Pod Anime

An unprecedented police comedy depicting the surprisingly realistic daily lives of women working at a neighborhood police box! 'I'm quitting the police!' Mai Kawai regrets becoming a police officer for the shallowest reason imaginable: she took every civil-service exam she could, and the police exam was the only one she passed. If she had known the job would be so exhausting and make her so unpopular, she would never have joined.

Clutching her resignation and determined to begin a second life, Kawai meets her new instructor, Seiko Fuji. Fuji graduated top of her police-academy class and was the criminal-investigation division's ace, known as Miss Perfect. Kawai is frightened by rumors that Fuji was transferred to the police box because she went too far in harassing junior colleagues, but the pair immediately head out on patrol together.

Centered on this mismatched partnership between rookie Kawai and former investigation ace Fuji, an appealing cast of distinctive police officers creates a workplace comedy that brings laughter, surprises and sometimes tears. Report to the scene: this is a realistic, perhaps, and fresh story of women at the police box!

Part 1 contains episodes one through seven, with 165 minutes of main footage. Extras include the opening and ending without credits and audio commentary. An illustrated outer case and digipak, manga booklet, Okajima-kun sticker and eyecatch card are initial-production bonuses available only while first-press stock remains; their inclusion in a current copy is not guaranteed.
