Amid a struggle between humans and the spirits of the forest, Ashitaka encounters San, a human girl raised by wolves. As opposing forces pursue the head of the Forest Spirit, their meeting brings them into a conflict in which survival, loyalty and the natural world are inseparable. Hayao Miyazaki wrote and directed this 1997 Studio Ghibli film, with music by Joe Hisaishi and Japanese performances by Yoji Matsuda, Yuriko Ishida, Yuko Tanaka, Kaoru Kobayashi, Masahiko Nishimura, Tsunehiko Kamijo, Sumi Shimamoto, Tetsu Watanabe, Makoto Sato, Akira Nagoya, Akihiro Miwa, Mitsuko Mori and Hisaya Morishige.
This two-disc edition presents the 133-minute film from its 4K digital remaster on 4K UHD and Blu-ray, housed in a digipak with a slipcase. The Blu-ray extras include the October 2025 IMAX premiere stage greeting with Yoji Matsuda, Yuriko Ishida and producer Toshio Suzuki, plus the IMAX announcement, IMAX trailer and expanded-release trailer.
Both discs include Japanese stereo and surround audio, a Japanese audio-description track and Japanese accessibility subtitles. The Blu-ray also includes an English dub and English subtitles; those English options are not listed for the UHD disc.
