PuraOre! Pride of Orange Animation

The first women's ice hockey anime, Puraore! Pride of Orange, brings its media mix project to television and Blu-ray.

The Dream Monkeys are an ice hockey team based in Nikko. Local middle school student Manaka arrives at their introductory class with her younger sister Ayaka, whom she has insisted on bringing, and her childhood friends Kaoruko and Mami. Riko and Naomi are also among the participants. After practice, they are all so captivated by ice hockey that they are already saying, “Let's come again next week!”

Before long, coach Yoko invites Manaka, Ayaka, Kaoruko, Riko and Naomi to officially join the Dream Monkeys.

Meanwhile, Yu, a renowned player from the powerful Kushiro Snow White team, comes to Nikko, where her grandmother lives. She has decided to leave her team and give up ice hockey entirely. She believes she will never stand on the rink again, but Yoko and Manaka's friends draw her back onto the ice.

With Yu joining them, the Dream Monkeys' rookie team takes shape. Through practice matches and training camps, each girl grows and the team becomes united. With “Connect the puck through the bonds of our hearts!” as their motto, Manaka and the Dream Monkeys head into a tournament. What will the result be? This is a story of girls growing through sweat and tears.

The package features a three-sided slipcase with new original artwork by Craft Egg and a newly illustrated jacket by character designer Kii Tanaka. It includes the Road to Ice Hockey Animation storyboard collection, a bonus music collection and a set of newly photographed SMILE PRINCESS bromides. The show's victory-dance music is available through this Blu-ray series.
